The College of Communication Engineering successfully held the 2022 National Summer Camp for Outstanding College Students from June 25 to 26, 2022, aiming at attracting excellent students majored in information and communication engineering and control science and engineering to pursue postgraduate studies in CCE. The summer camp is held to deepen these students’ understanding of CCE’s educational philosophy, academic resources, research status, and cultural traditions and comprehensively display the college’s advantages and characteristics. The college received more than 1,000 applications from more than 100 colleges and universities across the country, among which 174 college students were selected. In the end, 86 college students were qualified as excellent campers. The summer camp is held online due to the pandemic.

On the morning of June 25, the opening ceremony of the Summer Camp was held. The ceremony was presided over by Yan Xuezhi, Associate Dean who is mainly in charge of postgraduate affairs, and attended by heads and faculty representatives from various departments. First of all, Dean Yan introduced the profound history and solid scientific research foundation of CCE. Then, excellent teachers of our college gave special academic lectures, demonstrating the academic innovative spirit of CCE. On June 26, the campers’ English level, comprehensive ability, and professional knowledge were assessed.

The Summer Camp, successfully held by our college, serves as a communication platform between campers and professors. Not only has it deepened students’ comprehensive understanding of CCE and our disciplines, but also fully displayed our distinctive characteristics.
